Program Description

Emergency Screening Services (NHTC) (Fort Pierce)Emergency Screening Services are available to all adult and children residents of Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties. Services include screening for mental illness, serious emotional disturbances, and chemical dependency to determine level of care needed. Individuals may be admitted to the Crisis Stabilization Unit or Detoxification Unit either voluntarily or involuntarily by legal order.

Referrals to other services are made when necessary. Emergency Screening Center is located at 4500 W. Midway Road in Fort Pierce. It is open 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.
