Program Description

Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP). Provides financial assistance to eligible senior citizens for heat/electricity energy crisis. Please call 772-569-0763 for Financial assistance not transportation assistance.

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

You may be eligible to receive up to $600 in assistance through EHEAP if you meet all of the following criteria: ◾Someone in the household is age 60 or older ◾You have received a delinquent, past due or shut-off notice ◾You are an Indian River County and a legal U.S. resident ◾Have a gross annual household income that does not exceed $17,235 for one person Or $23,265 for two people and an additional $4,020 for each person in the household *EHEAP benefits are only available twice yearly (heating and cooling seasons), and are subject to funding availability.
