Program Description

Child Find, as a part of FDLRS, screens preschool children ages 3 through 5, who may have special needs.

Some children experience difficulties with vision, hearing, language, learning, physical movement, and/or emotional control. These children may benefit from special educational services. In order to assess a child's special needs, Child Find screens children on a weekly basis at various sites throughout the four county area. Children should be referred for screenings if they are not currently enrolled in a school program and are suspected of having delays which may effect learning. The primary focus is on preschool-aged children. Call for more information.
