Program Description
Kids and Nurses PPEC Center in Vero Beach is an ACHA licensed medical day care and therapy center serving chronically ill or medically fragile children from birth to 21. Eligible children are those that require nursing care such as tube feedings, medication administration, treatments, or monitoring. Some examples of conditions we see are seizure disorders, cerebral palsy, failure to thrive, chronic lung disease, moderate to severe asthma, prematurity, cardiac disorders, and congenital conditions.

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information
Medicaid determines eligibility based on the child's medical condition and needs. Generally, a child must require nursing services. Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) services reimbursed by the Medicaid program are to supplement the care provided by the parent, legal guardian, or caregiver. Parents, legal guardians, must participate in the care of the recipient to the fullest extent possible.
