Program Description

This series of free half-day seminars is designed to introduce high school students to professional novelists, poets, journalists, playwrights and nonfiction book writers. Since its founding in 2000 by Charlotte Terry and Pam Proctor with the support of the Laura Riding Jackson Foundation, the program has reached more than 1,300 teenagers from Indian River County and beyond. As a result of the workshops, students have published poetry chapbooks and won literacy awards, contests, and scholarships.
