Program Description
Take Stock in Children Scholarship program is designed to break the cycle of poverty in Indian River County. At-risk, low-income students are selected in their 8th grade school year. The students are paired with a caring adult mentor. The IRSC Foundation monitors and tracks grades, behavior and attendance of selected recipients. Upon the student's high school graduation and meeting the terms of their contract, the IRSC Foundation awards a 4-year tuition scholarship.
Volunteer opportunities are also available. Help to mentor students at their high school during the school year.
