Program Description

Handles sick and stray animals, complaints and cruelty. The Indian River County Animal Control Division is charged with the responsibility of enforcing the county's Animal Control Regulations. In addition to code enforcement, the Animal Control Division is also responsible for the capture, confinement and care of nuisance and stray animals, the sale and issuance of Indian River County Pet Licenses , the investigation of animal cruelty/nuisance complaints and animal bite investigations. All of the Division's Animal Control Officers are state-certified professionals
